2011!!!

Where do I start???
2011 was a great year but I'm glad it's over, there were so many things i looked forward at the beginning of last year, like my brother getting home from his mission and christmas in Houston with my family.
Now, i did go to Houston to see my brother get home from Boston and i couldn't go for Christmas but my sister was able to come to Utah and visit me so i was very happy and we had so much fun.
If i could describe last year with a few words....they would be:
Growth
Faith
Patience
Love
I think it was a year of learning for me personally and of trials that tested my faith and i am thankful for them.
I learned to be a little patient waiting for blessings i wanted to come faster...
and i learned that love is what matters from your family and no one else, i seriously am thankful that i have my family , my husband and my daughter.
So my sister my brother -in-law and their kids came to visit us for Christmas and i was so excited, they only stayed a week but it was worth it.
We shopped together for gifts and we went snowmobiling i think that was the highlight of the trip, at least for me, it was something we had planned before ahead of time and the boys also went snowboarding after christmas.
we spent Christmas eve with my in-laws and the family, we had some yummy delicious food, then we played games like mafia and "tipoteo" we laughed a lot and had so much fun.
Sunday, we didn't wake up on time for church so we stayed home and relaxed and then we went to Temple Square to see the Christmas lights and it was absolutely crazy COLD brrrrr! so we left after an hour.
These are some fun pictures of our fun-ness.
this was our guide, Tom.

November in Texas :]

So last year i wanted the year to fast forward to November because my brother came home from his mission. It seemed too far away back in February but then all of a sudden it was time and i had a chance to go and be with my family to see my brother return home from his mission.
It was very exciting getting ready and waiting for him, we got there like 30 mins early and supposedly his flight was early, but we still waited a while.
My brother-in-law left work for a little bit to go and see him too.
We were so anxious and had all the cameras and video cameras ready to film but our battery was running out because he was taking too long, and we were all looking for a man with a suit to come down the stairs and ...finally...we saw him and he was walking slowly and taking his time, then he saw us and he was surprised and a little embarrassed maybe, but me and my sister started tearing up a little bit, we even forgot the cameras were filming as we ran up to hug him.
Everyone that passed by stared and read our banner and probably thought "what's an Elder?" we had some family friends come with us to the airport too, and it was so cool he met his niece and nephew he didn't get to meet before he left.
This is the whole group and his banner
The happy family once again reunited.
His favorite niece he never met.
My beautiful sister and her family.
My precious papis

Our baby is not a baby anymore!!!

Sophie is 22 months she will soon be 23 and then 2 in February.
She started saying and reapeating a lot of words in the summer around July and August, and she would just say one word and babble the rest, but after turning 18 months she started repeating more words she would hear, and put sentences together, she also loves singing and dancing so she is a little better at it than before, she is not a bieber fan anymore, she just loves any kind of spanish pop ,rythmic loud song or reggaeton.
She loves to eat fruit snacks, she became a little obsessed i think, that's all she wants to eat every day all day. I bought her some vitamin gummies about 2 months ago and they're a little sour but she loves them so she thinks she can have them all day every day.
She is also very bratty and she likes to have everything her way, and if it's not just expect a tantrum! She doesn't like going to nursery at church on Sundays, she make a big deal and she cries till she can't cry anymore. I feel horrible but i have to leave her so she gets used to it.
She loves it when daddy comes home and plays with her, he's her entertainer, mommy only feeds, bathes and takes care of her. Sometimes she gets annoyed by me i think that when daddy comes home she forgets i exist.
She doesn't like to have her hair done or touched. She loves taking a shower and playing with her bath toys, she also loves watching movies, we could watch tigger and winnie pooh, bambi, mickey mouse all day.
She is the joy of my life and she makes my everyday better.
We took her to the zoo on Jan 2nd because daddy had the day off, and she was so excited, we told her we would go see the fish and go out to eat, this is her running around the aquarium.
She didn't even want to pose for any pictures.
This is her and mommy watching the penguins swim.
after the aquarium we went to the South Towne Mall in Sandy when she saw the carousel she said "caallo" (horse) and she didn't want to leave. So we let he ride it once.
More Sophie watching fish swim at the aquarium.
This is just a random photo of Sophie with "grampa" as she calls him from three months ago or so.
