Ear Infection..
So on Monday i was bathing Sophie before i left to work, and i noticed her touching her ear and after i dressed her she still kept touching and pulling on her ear. so i was like OK this is not normal, and on Tuesday she was very fussy and i took her outside for a walk, it was kinda chilly, but i thought it was ok. Wrong. next day she had a runny nose and i took her to the doctor yesterday and yes, she has an ear infection on both ears. This is her 5th one since she was born, so the doctor told me its to many, and this is when I'm supposed to go see a specialist. She talked to me about getting the tubes in her ears to prevent any more ear infections, but I'm not sure i want to. I just think she's too little for that surgery. Anyway , so im home with a sick baby and the good thing is, she is very good and listens to me so its no problem that she's a little sick. It just sucks i hate seeing her like that. She had a rough night breathing with her runny nose but she still slept, so i guess it wasn't that bad.

Hi Adriana!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear Sophie is sick. I just wanted to let you know that Wesley had that surgery when he was about 8 months old. He also had a lot of ear infections before he turned one so we took him to see the specialist. The procedure is really simple and it only takes them about 5 minutes. The hardest part was him waking up from the anestesia. Since then, he hasn't had a single ear infection.
Either way, if you choose to get tubes or not, it's not a bad idea to go see a specialist. Sometimes the fluid that isn't draining can cause hearing problems and the specialist will be able to check that. Good luck!
