Houston, TX!

Last tuesday Sophie and I flew to Houston to visit my parents and attend a cousin's wedding. I was hesitant to go at first only because Sophie is older and she is more active i didn't know what her reaction to flying would be. I always get nervous when i fly and specially when i have Sophie with me. I decided to take the stroller so i wouldn't have to hold her all the time. Our flight left SLC at 8:25am and i always like to be there an hour and a half before so we woke up early and got Sophie ready, i packed the day before and everything was ready to go! I was rushing and running through security and the check in kiosks, thinking i was late for boarding, and suddenly i get to our gate and there's a sign " FLIGHT DL3192 TO HOUSTON, TX DELAYED FOR AN HOUR until 9:25am"  I thought "Oh i guess we have time to eat some breakfast"!. Sophie and i went to get some egg bagels and we walked around the airport stores till it was time to board again. To make the long story short, Sophie was great! She looked through the sky mall magazine MANY times! She ate her snacks, she wanted to get down and walk around the plane, luckily we had an empty seat next to us so about an hour into the flight she fell asleep on the seat next to me. She woke up when we landed in TX so that worked out great! I was so relieved and happy that we arrived. Another thing about Houston is the weather is very humid and hot. Sophie is not used to it so she sweats as soon as we go outside and it's uncomfortable so she cries and gets all fuzzy. Hope she gets used to it because it won't be the last trip to TX.
